Although Illustrator probably is the fastest way to make webcomics of a pretty decent standard, it really bores the hell out of me. Even at its most boring, inking is at least occupying some part of your mind. Illustrator, by comparison, is mind-atrophying work, and if you don't have some form of music to listen to then the constant stacatto of clicks and taps on the keyboard and mouse will really start to drive you insane. You will notice that although I said 'the fastest way' this update wasn't on time. That's because of a couple of things: number one, because I don't know how to use Illustrator that well, so I'm still muddling through, and number two, because I would frequently get so bored that anything, anything became more interesting than trying to draw the various poses I needed.
I also found that while I don't mind the finished effect, the constant copying and pasting of fiddly bits, like heads, irked me because I got sick of seeing the same thing from the same three angles.
I did, however, want to experiment with Illustrator at some point on this comic, and using it as in-game graphics of a computer game made the most sense in the context of the story, since it means that the fixed angles and repetitive backgrounds - instead of being a drawback - actually make sense and lend a little credibility to the idea that it is taking place inside an MMORPG. (For those who don't know, I feel obliged to add now that my mother reads this, an MMORPG is a Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game -- essentially an internet version of any Dungeons & Dragons style fantasy role playing game.)

Anyway. Now I have to start drawing these things by hand again. Like a sucker.

And if you're wondering about Shakra's gloves, he unequipped them between strips. Obviously.
