DAVID'S DVD EASTER EGGS:
The first five panels are (obviously) a reference to The Godfather; the fifth panel also references the Simpsons episode 'Bart's Friend Falls In Love', with the birds taking flight at Shakra's scream. According to the episode commentary, Brad Bird came up with this idea himself and it is not, as many believe, a reference to a particular movie or television show.
