Photographs in Boxes, part two

I think I went a bit overboard with the inking on this one. That, coupled with a computer bluescreen at precisely the wrong moment when putting together the finished file (though thankfully not when I was colouring the files, which took second longest after the inking) is the reason this strip is so late.
The research for this strip also involved finding out what incubators look like, because although it's the kind of thing you always assume you know what it looks like, they turn out to be these incredibly strange esoteric boxes that look a bit like a cryogenic pod from some kind of mid-1970s sci-fi movie.
In addition to incubators I had to find reference for crack-addicted babies, which, strangely, not many proud mothers seem to put up pictures of that can be easily located with Google keywords like 'crackbaby'. How odd. So I ended up looking at vast amounts of pictures of premature babies instead. I don't think that babies are particularly cute in the first place, but premature ones look positively alien - a lot of the time, they're this terrible raw red colour that makes them look like someone peeled them. I think some of that horrible alien quality came across in the incubator picture, which is much more graphic in the original full-size version, which I drew separately from the incubator itself and put together in PotatoShop.

DAVID'S DVD EASTER EGGS:

The Parkers are wearing the same outfits as the first appearances of Peter Parker and Mary-Jane Watson, as seen in Amazing Fantasy #15 and Amazing Spider-Man #42 respectively.
