It Was The Heat Of The Moment

The layout of Halifax and Holly's room has changed slightly since the last time we saw it: presumably, in the intervening couple of hours since Quentin invited them to the party (yes, we're on a MegaTokyo glacial pace right now) they've pulled the bed away from the wall for some reason, possibly to accomodate the large mirror they've propped up on the windowsill so it won't crush them if it falls down in the middle of the night.
Hardest bit of this strip was drawing all the mirror stuff: it's awkward to try to remember not only what Halifax's room looked like, but to mentally flip it as well. Fortunately, the only non-symmetrical character is Laurell, since her left hand has to rest on her cane most of the time, so that issue didn't present too many problems. It is something of a struggle to bear in mind a very simple fact like Laurell's cane = left hand, and if I'm not careful I draw the panel out without thinking and have her using the cane with her right hand, which really doesn't make any sense.
I should really keep a database of all the various facts I might need to remember when doing the art for Mary's scripts, such as which hand people write with (I think it's Rio that's a left-hander,though I could be wrong on that), and certain types of body language for each character, which, for the most part, I forget about, save Shakra's semi-permanent slouch and Halifax's finger-pistol thing he does from time to time. DAVID'S DVD EASTER EGGS:

That's not actually the same Legend Of Zelda map on Halifax's wall, barely visible in the first panel, in the mirror: due to the loss of the original file, a replacement one had to be found, this time without any enemies on the map and just the terrain visible.
The title of this strip is taken from Asia's song 'Heat of the Moment', using the highly-sophisticated 'hit random play on WinAmp' method of coming up with titles.
