Stoner's Trouble

Vince keeps cropping up again and again in this strip. I'm really not sure why, except that stoners are intrinsically funny. I think perhaps that despite all my best-laid plans (in which Vince did not feature) the part of me that governs this little universe in GIFs is trying to find a replacement for Shakra. Or, indeed, 'Sharkboy.'

Halifax very probably has a different attitude to Vince than he does - or did - to Shakra. For one thing, it's a lot harder to get a stoner riled up, and if Shakra hadn't kept reacting so much, Halifax would have stopped bothering him quite so much. Vince also doesn't have the vast insecurity of Shakra, which means Vince at least has a measure of success with women. As a stoner, his seduction technique goes: a couple of joints + some Shuggie Otis on the stereo = peace and fucking.

Art-wise, another strip I like. The couple of CGI backgrounds aren't too bad, and I didn't have to crop anything major -- though I wasn't happy with how Halifax's right arm tucked behind him in the last panel. I figured that would get cropped, but it didn't, so it looks like he's got an arm off.

For the interested, in the last panel, Halifax is wearing a DeathBoy shirt. Suitable for both one-armed and two-armed people. I don't know about people with no arms. More than two arms is probably unsuitable.

Best bits: Drunken Holly's dialogue, Michael Howard on drugs.
Worst bits: Halifax's arm on the last panel.
