Make Mine A Couple

Yowza! Here we are in the new premises of Shit Happens. My girlfriend's spent the last week or so working on this redesign, which is surprisingly the first visual redesign of the site since I launched it back in December 2003. (There was a structural change to the site for no particular reason a while back and a server change after Randy of S*P fame linked to me around this time last year and my site broke because of the vast amount of hits I got.
So big thanks to Mary for this much-needed redesign -- so far it goes back as far as the start of Year Two, and the rest of the archives will follow shortly. 'The Magnificent Five' is getting its own section of the site, which Mary has also designed a new site for. More on that when it gets finished and uploaded.

In case you missed the notice I had up on the site for the past couple of days, there hasn't been a comic up for a week as I started a new job and spent too much time either at work or passed out from sleep deprivation to get a comic together. There'll be three updates a week from now on -- even if that means three Dead Piro Halifax Days in a row. It hopefully won't come to that unless I keep spending hours writing rants. Or something.

Onto the subject of today's comic, I'm mostly pretty happy with the way it turned out. I had to be a little more crop-happy than I like being, but I didn't lose anything vital and I don't think the quality overall suffers for it. I could do with drawing some better stock pub backgrounds sometime, although given my lack of free time I doubt that will happen.
I'm also happy with panel six, the downward shot of our not-a-couple downing their drinks. I should play with angles more often.

By the way, it's my birthday today.
